​Coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) began to affect multiple countries since January 2020. One of the effects of the pandemic was disrupting the food distribution chain around the globe. This caused access to food and food security to be limited in different regions including Puerto Rico. To understand how the pandemic has affected food security within communities, the Evaluation Office in partnership with Uriyoán Colón, SCD, MPA, professor of global health at George Washington University conducted an online survey on food security in these first months of the pandemic.
