As a 501c3 non-profit organization, INE works to expand Montessori education in Puerto Rico by accompanying public schools in their transformation . Our organization trains and certifies guides (teachers) and assistants in Montessori pedagogy and provides leadership, support and technical assistance to public schools and sister communities. Our partnerships with foundations, the local government, and the private sector guarantee a high-quality Montessori public education. INE aims to strengthen community-based school governance while working with new schools that are being incorporated into the project.

Our model is divided into three areas:

Collective work: Roundtables are established in which all members of the school community converge to visualize and organize their ideal school and work together constantly to provide the "best education" for their children.

Montessori Education: This methodology is the tool that transforms the school community. Montessori is a world-class educational model, based on the science of child development, has a deep respect for them and creates environments in which the child develops the necessary cognitive talents to be successful in life, while engaging in a culture leading to a peaceful society.

Families: INE supports and facilitates the integration of families into school life. “Schools not just enroll students but also their families”
