Good news from SAEM

The Auxiliary Secretariat of Montessori Education (SAEM) shares good news for this new academic year 2022-23.

With the goal of rescuing authentic Montessori, SAEM looks forward to this new school year. They celebrate that children and young people return to their schools in person and with a schedule that allows them to have consistency in their education.

Before starting this school year, the SAEM collective was able to oversee the organization of each Montessori public school to identify areas to strengthen and achieve those authentic Montessori practices such as multi-age, uninterrupted time; among other; to bring an education of excellence, just as they have accompanied the communities in the recruitment processes.

Marlyn Rodríguez, Auxiliary Secretary of Montessori Education, held the first meeting they had with the directors at this school start, which she classified as very good, from attendance to the dialogue. In this place they established the support and methodology that will be used during the year.

They also celebrate that in the interview cycle for directors under the Montessori regulations there has been a natural transition from guides to school directors, something that strengthens the Montessori Public project. As of January 2022, some 16 Montessori guides started as directors of their school community.
