Felisa Rincón Gautier Foundation recognizes Montessori Público
The Felisa Rincón Gautier Foundation celebrated last Thursday, May 20, the twenty-second delivery of the Felisa Rincón de Gautier medal to public service, where it recognized the great work and struggle in favor of education of excellence for the children of Puerto Rico by the Montessori Public project.
Felisa Rincón de Gautier, known as Doña Fela, was a product of public education, a practicing pharmacist, and skilled in sewing. In 1946 she was appointed mayor of San Juan, primarily concerned with the health and public works of the Capital. “For me, life is struggle and service. Whoever does not fight and does not serve, deprives himself of the greatest satisfaction that life can provide'', Mrs. Fela.
Today we celebrate and share the honor that the Felisa Rincon de Gautier Foundation does us with each and every one of the teacher guides, assistants, and directors who build the new school for our children. Thank you!
