Celebrating the International Day of Peace: School Art Exhibition
On September 21, in commemoration of the International Day of Peace, our School Art Exhibition was inaugurated with great success at the Montessori 100 x 35 Gallery in San Patricio Plaza. This event, which merged Montessori with the arts, highlighted fundamental themes such as peace and connection with nature, two essential pillars in the Montessori methodology.
The exhibition featured the active participation of students from Montessori public schools, who, through various artistic expressions and media, and together with their Montessori guides, reflected their understanding of and commitment to these universal values. From colorful natural landscapes to symbolic representations of peace, the works highlighted the power of creativity in education and its ability to foster a deeper awareness of our environment and peaceful coexistence.

Over 200 people attended the opening, and dozens more visited the exhibition over the following week until September 29, enjoying and reflecting on the work of the talented students.
Peace and connection with nature are not only themes of this exhibition, but also key elements in the Montessori approach, which seeks to help children develop a respectful and harmonious relationship with both their environment and with others.
This event was made possible thanks to the efforts of our Volunteer Program and its coordinator Alondra Ocasio. We would like to thank the sponsors: San Patricio Plaza, Ofi-Arte, Club Los Rotarios and Mr. Manny Vázquez from Galería Space. We would like to thank Dori Ann Serrano from Pequeño Gurú for her collaboration, as well as the other collaborators before, during and after the event, and the school communities that participated in the initiative.
Sharon Meléndez, school nurse at María I. Dones Montessori School in Fajardo, who collaborated with the Volunteer Program to facilitate student participation in the art exhibition.
